Why, France?

In less than 5 minutes from each other, two examples of police state manners in France:

  • SkypeIn has special requirements for online numbers in France.

To obtain a French online number we will require some personal information from you. This information will be shared with our service provider in France. When your personal data has been verified, your online number will be activated.

This is not the case for most other SkypeIn countries, with the exception of Germany and Switzerland. As expected, I would say.

  • My colleague tells me that the law requires everyone to have a back account in order to be paid a salary. If you think that violates your privacy or if you just hate banks, you’re out of luck. You punk!

La république… can’t live with it, can’t live without it.
